Most days the ute is somewhere in Brisbane's north and inner suburbs. For bigger jobs we go further: Greater Brisbane, Ipswich, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

    Good to know

    Do you do small jobs?

    Yes. A single powerpoint or one light fitting is a job worth doing properly, and we'll come out for it.

    Are quotes free?

    Yes. Smaller jobs can be quoted over the phone. Bigger jobs need a site visit, which is also free.

    Are you licensed and insured?

    QMAX Electric Pty Ltd holds Queensland electrical contractor licence 89081. Every job comes with a lifetime warranty on workmanship.

    Do my smoke alarms need upgrading?

    Probably. From 1 January 2027, every Queensland home needs interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms in each bedroom, in hallways that connect bedrooms, and on every storey. Homes being sold or leased already need them. The job sheet above works out how many your place needs.

    Join the crew

    QMAX is growing and hiring a full-time qualified electrician. Based in Nundah, working mainly in upper Brisbane, close to home.

    • $1,500 sign-on bonus
    • $50–60 an hour, based on experience
    • Your own fully stocked company ute

    You'll need a Cert III in Electrotechnology, two years of maintenance experience, a driver's licence and a white card. Split-system tickets and pump experience are a bonus.
